In 1984 the Sangam established PNECT Perambur Nadar Educational and Charitable Trust. Its prime aim was to start a school to cater to the needs of the member of the public particularly those who cannot afford the luxury of an expensive schooling. The Trust procured in its name 9 Grounds of land at Thanikachalam Nagar and appropriately enough it was unanimously decided to name the school after the great freedom fighter and pioneer of the free Mid – Day meal Scheme in TamilNadu, Perunthalivar Kamarajar
In pursuance of its vowed object ts the Trust Started the PNECT Kamaraj Matriculation School in June 1989 with thirty pupils and three teachers in the year 1980 with generous donation received from the Philanthiropist Thiru I. Shanmugadurai the worthy son of the First President of the Perambur Nadar Varthaga Sangam a new building was constructed in 1991 to provide the much needed class room accommodation to the children with the liberal donation received from Thiru Kasimani K. Shanmuga Sundaram Nadar more class rooms were constructed on the floor of the School building.
An important achievement in the history of the school was the recognition accorded to the school by Education Department of the Tamil Nadu Govt. during the academic year 1994 – 95. The management wishes to place on record its gratefulness to the Education Department and its appreciation of the unstinted efforts of the Principal of the School Thiru D. G. Sagayam in getting the recognition.
The First set of X Std, Pupils appeared for the public exam in April 1995.
The School was upgraded to Higher Secondary School from 1998-99 Thiruvalagal I. Shanmugadurai, K. Shanmugasundara Nadar, K. Mathigaran, Guruswmy Nadar and Thirumathi Sivathikani Andiappan and Perambur Vattara Iykkaya Sangam have generously contributed in kind and cash to construct more classroom and laboraties.
It is not hyperbolic to share that the PNECT KAMARAJ MATRICULATION HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL is a dream come true and owes its existence to the Philinthorpic minded members of the Perambur Nadar Varthaga Sangam and heir enthusiastic cooperation.
